Russian missile strikes on Kiev kill 2, injure 6--China Econ

KIEV, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed, and six others were injured in Russian missile strikes on Kiev early Thursday, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

According to Klitschko's Telegram post, three of the injured were hospitalized.

In the Darnytskyi district, the attack sparked fires in an administrative building, warehouses and parked trucks, the State Service for Emergencies reported.

A separate fire broke out in a one-story warehouse in the Sviatoshynskyi district.

One hundred fifty rescuers and 27 units of emergency equipment were deployed to the strike sites. All fires were extinguished by Thursday morning, the State Service for Emergencies said.
