Musk will return to the Trump administration to lead researc
The US Department of Defense recently announced a new plan aimed at "researching future forms of warfare", which will be led by US tech billionaire Elon Musk. US media pointed out that this move indicates that Musk will return to the Trump administration.
On September 30th, US Secretary of Defense Hagibis announced the "Meridian Plan" aimed at "studying future forms of warfare". The plan will be jointly led by Pentagon Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael, Musk, tech entrepreneur Palmer Lequi, and former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich.
Musk invested heavily in helping Trump succeed in his presidential campaign in 2024, and subsequently became the head of the "Government Efficiency Department" in the Trump administration. After Musk left the "Government Efficiency Department" in May last year, the conflict between him and Trump became public, but their relationship has since eased. Trump publicly stated in June this year that the two had "become friends again". (Reporter: Yang Ling, Xiong Maoling; Video: Calm)
